Hegasa i Technik Diament.

Website for a woodworking tool sharpening service near Łowicz that has been sharpening saws, cutters and knives for joinery shops, sawmills and furniture makers since 2013. It collects tools across the Łódź and Masovian regions and ships by courier to the rest of Poland.

Iskra

Where it started

The old website ran on a ready-made WordPress theme and said a lot without saying much. To find out how the service worked, you had to call. There was no price list or map, and the counters showed zeros.

The brief was: concrete and technical, no glitter. Services, products without an online shop, and numbers that mean something.

Immersion

How it was made

Navy, white and a single red accent, the IBM Plex typeface and 18 px body text. The first screen says straight away what the company sharpens and how fast, with three facts underneath: precision to 0.01 mm, 7 days as standard and in business since 2013.

The header with the phone number and opening hours stays at the top while scrolling, and a WhatsApp button waits in the corner. Each of the six services has its own page with scope, prices and answers to questions, and ordering takes four steps.

Before launch, I went through every number and claim on the website. Only what could be confirmed stayed.

Substance

What is under the hood

Six city pages, from Łódź to Zgierz, reach people looking for a sharpening service nearby. A transparent net price list and a coverage map answer the questions people used to have to call about.

Every page has its own search description and structured data: LocalBusiness across the site, plus Service, FAQPage and breadcrumbs on the service pages.

Technical decisions
for those interested in the code
Next.js 16, React 19, TypeScript

Written from scratch, with no ready-made theme or plugins, so every section can be changed without fighting a template.

Tailwind v4 and IBM Plex

One set of colours and spacing across 22 pages, so the services, prices and cities look like one whole.

ESLint with accessibility rules and Lighthouse in CI

Every change goes through automated accessibility and quality checks before it reaches the website.

JSON-LD: LocalBusiness, Service, FAQPage, BreadcrumbList

Google gets the company details, services and answers to questions in a form it understands.

City pages with Service and City data

Each of the six cities has its own page with the service tied to that place.

Vercel, security headers and a single address

The server sends security headers, and hegasa.pl redirects to a single www address.
